Lacoste Elysee Prize 2010
In these Images of some of the most rundown and impoverished housing in London, I have attempted to create beautiful abstract images with lively colours out of something completely banal.
The first Image is a tennis court created digitally from patches of different surfaces. The second one is of a huge block on the point of demolition. I have introduced a toylike element by adding colours to areas of significant decay, dilapidation or ruin.
The third and fourth are completely abstract. The one composed completely from cracks on a wall in a housing estate placed on a neutral background and the last consists only of marks where tennis balls hit the grey walls of the estate with added bright saturated colors the reference the Lacoste brand.
